I've been reading SMBC for about 5 years now and i've noticed the gradual change of the tone of the comics, from short & simple, smart punch lines, to the present long-winded, existentialist/philosophical/multi-layered commentary that i find too complex to be entertaining.

What happened? i used to regularly share the comics to my friends online but i've found that there's no point anymore :S did something life-changing happen to zach to warrant this change in the nature of SMBC?

I hope I didn't sound too critical, i'm sure others would've felt the same way. I used to anticipate new additions to the comics but nowadays I'm hard-pressed to even read to the end of a tortuous page.
