I think this is the first SMBC comic that I've ever not understood, so now I'm going to whine about it.

I'm not getting Zach's point here. Is the guy in the comic saying that somehow the nature/nurture debate wore him down? Or are those monsters supposed to actually represent nature and society wearing him down? If it's the latter, why the hell would society cause him to have arthritis and broken teeth? Wouldn't those things all be attributed to nature?
