I remember them being called zenomorphs but that's it.
Yea, I can't remember encephalopods being used, I don't think it was in the movies, but I knew encephalopod sounded familiar and that is the only usage I can find anywhere, so I must know it from some spin off media around the movies. In the movies I think they only use (The) Alien and xenomorph.

Finally an answer.

But why ... "Encephalopods - Did you mean Cephalopods?"

Okay I guess that's why.

But maybe Zach doesn't know.

The Votey shows exactly the amount of tentacles it has.
and countless years of christian iconography shows jesus as a blond-haired blue-eyed man

I think the "E" is for "Encephalopods," or the equivalent Latin genitive plural.

INRI was Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.

I think this one is Octopus of Nazareth, King of Encephalopods.

For what it's worth, I think this is one of the most clever comics I've ever seen. My hat's off to Zach.

Maybe two of the limbs aren't nailed to the bottom then.

Wait, shouldn't there just be 6 instead of 8 places for the arms on the cross? 2 of the 8 limbs are nailed to the bottom, then the 6 should go with 3 on each side...?
