Exactly what I want to avoid wrote:If you can call that, however it isn't philosophical, or a school. Or of thought.

Objectivism? You mean that philosophical school of thought that Ayn Rand founded?

I hope you never meet an objectivist (or anti-objectivist). It is a tedious thing to research since most people who have opinions on the concept have very strong ones.

I think that's basically what I do. For example I don't really know where I stand on objectivism and I know that it doesn't matter. I've decided I'm not going to research it. My reasoning is that if I ever need to know about objectivism, it'll be because I'll have met an objectivist. And if I've met one I can ask a lot of questions and do my research then.

It's a great feeling, discovering a way to do even less.

Whenever I have trouble forming an opinion, I either don't form one or I try to learn more about whatever it is I'm supposed to have an opinion so I can have one I'm comfortable with. I try not to have very many opinions and the ones I do have I try to remain open minded about and reevaluate on occasion. Having rigid stances on subjects generally leads to ignorance and stupidity. At least in my opinion.

He ignores it, because deciding which opinion goes with which side of the coin is too hard.

Whenever I have trouble forming an opinion, I just flip a coin.
And then what?

A lot of people put "having a wrong opinion" over "not having an opinion".

What?

Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Hold on. Just because someone can teach it from an unbiased stance doesn't mean they don't have an opinion.

If you think both sides are equal, regardless of the merit of their respective arguments, than you're not unbiased. You're just noncommittal.

That said, I don't find this comic funny. The joke was obvious from the second panel and was carried on way too long.
Who said anything about thinking the sides equal? You can teach stuff without thinking both sides are equal. I can debate for things that I don't really agree with. That doesn't make me noncommittal, it makes me intelligent.
I guess there are too many people who read this that are in the sciences...

I'm not saying that those arguments outweigh the evidence for evolution, just that these are not even close to the arguments against it.

And I get that you realized you have a little soapbox where you can spout all this stuff and you want to use it.

Now can you please make a comic that's actually, y'know, funny?
This, this, this, for God's sake this. You're giving me cancer, Zach.
