Or better! Prey the USB gods and consider the whole thing as a trial of your faith.

My magical system works even then! You just remember how it works for all possible combinations.

Ahh, but sometimes the slot is on it's side, and then do those distinguishing characteristics face left or right?

And maybe you have several computers that have different USB orientations, so you forget from one time to the next which has which.

So you just stab blindly until you get it right.

After approximately a decade and half of experimentation and careful study I have determined a nearly perfect method for successfully inserting a USB cable on the first try.

1. Look at the USB jack on the device to determine orientation.
2. Look at the end of the USB cable to ensure it is properly orientated.
3. Insert USB cable into jack.

So does anyone else get fed up with trying to put in a USB and try the second port?
Because that's a better votey.

Well, it's a lousy metaphor resulting in nerdy unprotected sex, not hilarious but still.

Now that I think about it, roughly one comic on ten is about lousy metaphors taken too far and/or nerdy unprotected sex!

FarleShadow's strip is pretty good. The joke is different from the original, so nothing to complain. Except for the quality of Zack's jokes lately, but anyway.

I liked this one. Which was kind of surprising since he had already made that joke. But I think both were good takes.

Shame this one wasn't linked to that USB one where flipping over three times shows USB cables exist outside of normal three D space.

Also, this is what I thought when I saw the last panel:
