If the two angles were 45 degree angles than it would only make sense that the two acute angles would make a right angle. You know, angular punnet squares and all.

If it works anything like actual genetics, than the child would recieve half the angle of both parents, so an acute and an obtuse could make a right if the sum of their angles equal 180 degrees...

It's a cute comic, but it's just not right. I think you should have come at this from another angle rather than being so obtuse.
