I think the mime is doing a magic trick. She shows him the heart, puts the heart in between her closed hands, and when she opens her hands again the heart has vanished. The interpretation of this trick is pretty clear.

Geeze, guys, this isn't that complicated. "There was love, now it's disappeared."

My interpretation:
1) Your heart
2) I held it
3) Now I don't

Maybe "makes me sick to my stomach." I don't think it is sign language, but I never got past finger spelling. It could not have any actual meaning, because it doesn't really have to for the joke to be effective.

I know it's an old one (I've been reading all the comics backwards from present day), but....
Does anyone have any thoughts on http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?id=1627 ?

1st panel is obviously "heart" or "love".
2nd panel ... I have no idea..
3rd panel seems to be the ASL sign for "finished"...

I'm so frustrated that I cant decipher that 2nd panel, that I made this account specifically to ask this question.

It is simply something like "Love is finished?"

Does it have something to with the guy not being present in #2?

Or is that a cookie in #1, and it's more like "Your heart, I ate it, Im finished!"

Is #2 something in ASL too?

No idea..
