Technically, it's only "tea" if it comes from the
tea plant, other infusions are called "tisanes" (although it is still safe to call it "herbal tea"). Also, most herbal tea is not caffeinated and you can't say that it's "good for you" just because it's herbal without knowing what's in it. Some plants in herbal teas can be quite toxic in high quantities, such as comfrey, which can cause permanent liver damage. And I've definitely had some bad-tasting herbal teas before.
