I was going to make this joke:
Very well, Here's an objective fact, This will 100% definitely be the winer of the 2016 election:
United Russia.
And I have for months now, but I'm afraid the my friends will bear no more of it.

And while we're on the subject of LGBTQ, you know who did vote for all that stuff? Sanders. He can be as socialist as Marx, for all I care, but he always voted what his conscience told him and not the polls. lyonbra gets a pass on this one (as some strand of libertarian, he has 0 good choices in this election) but the rest of you disgust me. Yes, including the "greens", your favorites never won a single seat in 15 years they existed.

Perhaps he meant the ceremonies should be public? Because, you know, Pride and shit.

I'm someone who does live in Australia. And there really is a monster exactly where Zach suggests! I've been known to lie awake at night in sheer terror recognising that the future of the planet lies in the hands of the USA.

Needless to say, no one lies awake worrying about Australia.

Hillary privately went after Obama "(owe-BAHM-uh)" for being too liberal because he wanted to allow gay people to adopt children and he was not ok with preventing gay people marry and having civil unions instead, so NO hillary's beliefs on LGBTQA+ issues is by no definition modern or enlightened.

Johnson recognizes global warming but also recognizes that the current system that awards certain companies over others and which special interests pour millions of dollars lobbying for (subsidies and government contracts for "green" companies, tax loopholes & corporate welfare for oil companies) do not work and allow for bribery and corruption. When it comes to free markets and regulation no one is arguing for zero regulation but market forces DO EXIST and any regulation has to recognize that and take it into account. One proposal for a revenue neutral global warming regulation that tries to do this is Initiative 732 in Washington State:
https://ballotpedia.org/Washington_Carb ... 732_(2016)

But since it doesn't pick winners and losers and leaves that up to market to do look who's against this environmental step forward: Washington State Democratic Party & the Sierra Club.

If the government doesn't choose who wins and who loses then its impossible to bribe/corrupt public officials. As for experience, he spent 8 years as governor, and hillary has 0 years experience in an executive role, and she was a terrible senator (I'm from NY)

I'm no fan of Hillary, but you can't prove that she still thinks gays shouldn't marry privately (or that her private beliefs would actually matter from a policy perspective for that matter). It's equally as likely, if not more so, that she was lying when she said they shouldn't marry when that opinion was more popular. It's also possible that she honestly has changed her point of view. And as far as defending Gary Johnson, I'm not going to say he's an idiot, but it's pretty clear he has far too provincial and limited interest on the issues to occupy a position like the presidency. If he wanted to be serious about running he should have given at least a cursory thought to issues of importance that aren't in his general wheelhouse of talking points.
Furthermore, the free market nonsense makes libertarian thought more religion than anything. There is no free market. That's a fantasy idea. If governments don't regulate it, powerful corporations will. In other words, when talking about climate change, that means the biggest energy providers. So don't pretend like it's just a competition of what works best if the government takes their hands off. It will be whatever the coal, oil, and gas providers want if the government is hands off (mostly it is anyway).

No, he didnt. If you see the entire interview he says it as an off handed joke, not actual policy. He recognizes that the current system we have/special interest are pushing DOES NOT work and that we need a free market approach to global warming to incentivize innovation such as a way of incorporating existing negative externalities to the economic stream. With 3 candidates on every ballot and at least 4 on ~90% of ballots you have the 2 war mongers (one and idiot and one a paragon of corruption), a doctor turned political activist, and a 2 term governor with a better track record on LGBTQA+ issues than any other candidate (Hillary still thinks gays shouldn't marry PRIVATELY)

This would be funnier if it weren't so scary. An actual US presidential candidate has used this as an excuse not to do anything about climate change:
