The tabletop groups I play with totally do stuff like this. If the characters are going to be murder hobos, that doesn't mean you can't also make fun of the concept as you're having fun doing it.

I'm not questioning the accuracy of the comic, but I do have to say that the red-haired gentleman (who is clearly not a dwarf; no Scottish accent) is doing something awesome in the third panel to blow up a goblin's throat without touching him. I'm guessing that means he has psionics, and as any player of D&D knows, the minute anyone has psionics the entire game system has jumped the shark and you should all just go play Car Wars until the next version comes out in a couple of months.
