Funny... just before I was thinking ``Gosh, these benorgana and gnatnit bots are real varmints, what with their doggone plague of vacuous comments on every post.''

Update on the topic of spam - I asked the admin of the forum to give me moderator privileges so that I can clean it up when I see it. Thankfully, he did so! After I asked what to do with such spam links, he said: "my go-to is just editing any external links into links to the forum (smbc-comics.com/smbcforum/) while leaving the rest of the message intact; forum culture here is more about neutering and harnessing spammers than eliminating them." So I've been doing exactly that.

Report any spam post you see on this subforum and I'll probably deal with it within a day or two - reported posts are very highlighted for me now. I'll probably deal with it even if you don't report it though, this forum isn't that active and I don't miss any post :)

I will also start adding links to the particular comics when the original poster of a thread fails to do so. If you think that's abuse of power, then you're wrong and you will do as I say!

I'm wondering this too. I reported all of his posts, not sure if there's even any active moderator on this forum.

It's so weird though! Usually these kinds of comments are made by bots, and either make no sense or are exact copies of older comments. But this guy actually posted relevant and original comments, albeit pointless ones. And with good English, too! So if it's some guy in a third world country (as it most often is), with his English skills he can probably get a much better job than this.

Man has its own mind, they are mischievous, sometimes troublesome like a wild animal. https://www.smbc-comics.com/smbcforum/index.php

I am compelled to comment on the comic. God did feel the need to make an angel with a flaming sword guard the garden after they were kicked out.

I wonder if the flood put out the sword.

Link to this comic (because apparently I'm the only one who cares): https://www.smbc-comics.com/comic/git

It's possible God also thought he was acting for xkcd. https://www.smbc-comics.com/comic/relig ... ce-4004-bc

I spent an embarassing amount of time trying to interpret this comic as a coding joke. Apparently I thought I was reading xkcd.
