It was! Very emotional because I came out to my mom as transgender (and now the rest of the forum too, surprise! please don't post about it to facebook thanks in advance) but we also went to an upscale mexican restaurant that had sublime panuchos after I gave her a tour of my favourite museum so all in all it was the best birthday i've had in years.

Also yeah, I think I'm like one of five people still on LJ. I'm pretty sure the only reason it still exists is because it's actually popular in Russia randomly.

How's your boyfriend dealing with it? My (straight) sister sadly split up with her girlfriend when she came out as trans / female.
