I think you're right, because I laughed. Especially at the STD/STI one.*

*why did they change the acronym? Just so I could forever be confused by their advertising for safe sex?

I think they changed it to infections because it's more accurate. Though I still catch myself saying STD all the time.

I'm gonna be a grandpa one day,* and I'll be doing the rambling speech about kids these days and their STI's and how back in my day it was an STD. Good old STD's.

*eh... sure why not.

Back then, you had to walk a mile uphill in the snow if you wanted to catch chlamydia.

Not many people did.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

Y'know, I knew STI was the more zeitgeisty* word, but I just couldn't bring myself to copy-and-paste an I in there instead of a D. My mum always brought me up talking about STDs**, so that's what they're going to be, yadda yadda, *snort*.

* Probably not a word, and definitely not the right one.
** True, unsettling, story.

That is one of my favourite SMBC comics at any rate.

I think that may be the wrong link on the second comic.

It's my rakish good looks and devil-may-care attitude.

I am glad you posted the correction, though. I'd forgotten how the original went.

I'm sorry, but I'm required to brand you with the following sign for that effort, Astrogirl. (I wouldn't visit the website it advertises; I think it's been, according to Google, "compromised"). And take heed, for That Font can inspire negative feelings upon some.
