looking for a comic

Postby voltaicbasho » Sun Oct 14, 2012 3:24 pm

Hey Guys,

I once was quite marvelled by the philosophical implications of a particularly poignant SMBC comic, but I can't remember much of it...

What I do remember:
Philosophical-content-wise - The comics implications were that, in the future, in order to better understand the universe, we would be constantly improving ourselves. This improvement, however, would lead to a contradiction: one way to improve ourselves would be to rid ourselves from the desire to understand the universe. Therefore, when we improved ourselves to better understand the universe, that lead to a lack of desire to understand it. It was quite sad really.
Image-wise - I remember very little. Just a panel of two diamond-shaped forms (the future us) going around in a digital-like landscape.

Could anyway help a poor featherbrained and amnesiac SMBC fan? Thanks a lot!

What kind of search query would you even use for that?
"improve universe diamond"? (I tried it, it doesn't work.)

I'm not remembering any comics like the one you described, although it does sound like the sort of philosophical pabulum Zach would make.
Sorry.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

I think I know exactly which comic you're referring to! Is it this one?

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can track down a particular comic as well.

It was one that discussed how you could master a new subject every so many years (I think it was about 7), and so you could make something new with your life so many times over the course of it.

Thanks!
