I think it's pretty entertaining to see the spikes in web searches caused by nerdy comics. Today's comic on the etymology of "Silent Majority" caused a nice bump!

The idea of "silent majority" as an euphemism for the dead is ironic as the number of 7 billion people on earth far outweigh the number of people who have died in history, in fact

I suspect there have been about 100 billion homo sapiens who've died since homo sapiens became a thing.

That number is subject to some sources of experimental error

It suggests that for every living person, there are 15 dead ones. One quick look in my basement lends credence to this.
