AHMETxPositronium, Inquisitor-General for the Immortal Nine, at the 2051 Apostasy Hearings wrote:...and the wages of sin are death. Well, perhaps 'sin' isn't the proper term to use here, because it's not any god who censures you today, like some species of invisible cosmic nanny. Rather, it is a delegation of the wise, chosen from amongst your peers to pass judgement. Nevertheless, you have been guilty of terrible blasphemies against the Nine and their Community, and so it is decided that today you must die.
AHMETxPositronium (2036 - ) is an Augmented Human forum-goer, politician, magistrate, and holy figure venerated by followers of the <<Immortal Nine.>>

AHMETxPositronium was created on 15 October, 2036, as the first successful application of the <<Kaminski-Weiner-Norimoto Procedure>> to a human subject. Prior to this procedure, the subject had been known by a variety of handles at different times, including AHMETxRock, AHMETxPigIron, AHMETxPlastic, and AHMETxCarbonNanotubes. The reasons behind the choice of this latest appelation is not altogether clear, and remains the subject of some controversy among modern scholars.

Shortly following the procedure, AHMETxPositronium was contacted by the (at that time) Immortal Six. Previously AHMETxPigIron had applied for membership in their organization, but had been repeatedly denied. Now the Six, seeking to exercise tighter control over their steadily growing set of followers, and recognizing the value of AHMETxPositronium's newly-enhanced capabilities, were eager to include him in their number. On 9 January, 2037, he issued a letter of acceptance. As Enforcer of the Immortal Nine, AHMETxPositronium was responsible for maintaining order and security in the areas under the control of the Immortals. He held this position until the violent dissolution of the Nine in 2081.

He is perhaps best remembered for his role as Inquisitor-General in the controversial Apostasy Trials of 2051-2052, during which he personally issued the death sentences of some 4,300 citizens. Largely because of this role, critics of the Immortal Nine often describe AHMETxPositronium as a power-mad tyrant. However, he retains a substantial following who believe that his actions were necessary to preserve the stability of the Forum and all of its subject communities.

Author's Commentary: The reader will notice that I have not made any reference to the rumors of AHMETxPositronium's death ca. 2100. The bases for these speculations are apocryphal at best, libelous at worst, and do not warrant inclusion in any serious scholarly work.
As an aside, I remind any future authors on the subject that, in all formal writing, AHMETxPositronium should not be referred to by the abbreviation "AHMET" under any circumstances.

Sir Oldrac, as we are writing a scholarly work here, I'm afraid I must point out a spelling error in the opening quote. You wrote "agains" instead of against.

I thank you for your quick response.

And it is fixed!
Yet another triumph for the process of peer review.

I really can't think of anything to write starting with A, so I'm going to expand on your mention of the Apostasy Trials. I'm one paragragh in as it is.
