Bringing with him The App of Wonders and having no singular story regarding its origin or purpose, or his whereabouts during the years of his absence, Martholomew is documented at having provided the following quotes most frequently when questioned about the device…
and… a very mysterious and powerful device …
In an early and rare show of support for his brother Zach the Magnificent’s ascension to power over all the Forums, Martholomew initiated <<Operation: Covert Diversion>> in order to facilitate the smooth transition of power from the SMB City Committee to Zach without public outcry at the assassinations carried out on the SMB City Committee Members.…it's mystery is only exceeded by it's power.
The historical significance of The App of Wonders is centred around the supposed <<Power of Distraction>> that was employed during the years of 2012 (after Martholomew’s return) and 2018 when it was reported missing. To this day The App of Wonders is still shrouded in mystery and has not surfaced.
A recreation of the distractive measures implemented during Operation: Covert Diversion has been immortalised here for ‘education and awareness’ purposes in the hope that, if discovered, The App of Wonders will be turned in to the Symposium for extensive cogitation and deliberation.
 – Despite any substantial evidence and based purely on the arrival of Martholomew with The App of Wonders, many modern scholars hold to this theory.
 – These quotes’ origins have been lost in the past though it is thought that they were messages of awesomeness passed down in Zach and Martholomew’s family until such a time as they could be appropriately applied to an object of equal awesomeness.
 – Familial ties between Zach and Martholomew are still a hotly debated topic among modern scholars. For the sake of postulation this scholar has simply chosen to write as if this is the case though not alluding to any personal take he might have on the matter.

Addendum - Additional information requested of archived video footage for the purpose of text-based reproduction of the Powers of Distraction as revealed in the aforewritten article.
Demonstration 1: “Marty’s Magic Coin”
According to Martholomew the motivation behind his creation of this Power of Distraction was due to a “real issue with change in my (his) pockets”. He sought a way of rectifying this situation and hence created the Power in order to store change (coins) and later an Ancient World ‘vegetable’ called a Carrot in his portable telecommunications and organisational device called an “iPhone”. The App of Wonders, being the mystery that it is, was once thought to actually be referring to the iPhone itself, though this has been disproven since.
Demonstration 2: “Marty’s Magic Card”
This is a throw-back to the Ancient World prestidigitation tricks that held people enthralled the world over for centuries. Flicking through an ordinary deck of cards, you instruct Martholomew when to stop. He shows you his card and doesn’t see it himself. He then replaces the deck in its box and places the box against the back of, again, the iPhone with the iPhone’s screen facing you.
Slowly in the background behind the “icons” your card appears to fade into view.
