Re: I Love TANG
MY school used to make sandwiches for lunch. Like, three bucks for a maybe filling sandwich. And you could buy gatorade and there were nachos to buy. They get rid of all that, because it's unhealthy. Meanwhile, during the summer they moved in a ton of vending machines that sold cola and chips and candy. Basically they got rid of our slightly healthier and actually more preferable and fondly regarded options so that vending machine deals would be profitable enough.
Just like an std, will never fully go away.

All of the V8 fusion flavors cost the same, so I can assume that they added a ratio of Acai that was cost effective. Doesn't change the fact that it's one of my favorite flavors.

Healthy eating is definitely pretty much the furthest thing from their mind. Whatever gets them money. Even today it's much easier for me to find a pizza pizza, subway sandwiches, nothing you'd ever actually consider eating every day; and I do! And almost every building has a Second Cup and a Tim Horton's (a few also a have Starbucks or Timothy's).AHMETxRock wrote:MY school used to make sandwiches for lunch. You add butter and either cheese or honey, which gives it flavour. You could add herbs and spices or something. It is also delicious grilled or fried, or with various sauces and other dishes on top. My mother once made pizza with a polenta crust, which was a pretty good idea, but she used the clam-squid sauce as the sauce to it was kind of gross. Polenta is easy to make. It makes good breakfast. You should eat it more.Apocalyptus wrote:Trust me it's pretty good when you make it right. I have made polenta a grand total of 1 times, with apple juice cos some person on the internet said to. My Mum said I should fry the pieces so they had some flavour as it is usually pretty bland, but she ate her words. The polenta too.HARDKORE wrote:Grits, I dont know. I have never at them. What exactly is cordial anyway? My impression of it is basically sugary fruit syrup stuff that is mildly alcoholic (I've only heard of it from literature, never heard of real people actually consuming the stuff).

Cordial is just a coloured, sugary water with a bit of either natural or artificial flavour added to it to make it taste like the original fruit juice. Also, the news that you have Starbucks and vending mahines and all that crap in your schools and univeristies scares me, a lot. There are a few small little shopping areas that caters for uni students about 5 minutes walk away from campus, and the city centre is only 10-15 minutes away by bus too, but we don't have any non-campus run food outlets in the actual grounds, and I'm pretty sure there is legislature to ensure there can't be any too.

So, I read this title right the first dozen or so times I read it.
Now, for the last bunch of times, I've always initially seen "I Love TNG".
As if this is some Star Trek fansite.

True, in Australia anyway. I think Kool-Aid is an American brand of cordial?Sahan wrote:Cordial is just a coloured, sugary water with a bit of either natural or artificial flavour added to it to make it taste like the original fruit juice.
Wait, I just found out you make it from a powder. 1. I guess that doesn't count as cordial then, and 2. yuck...
EDIT: But not that much more yuck than most of the generic brands of cordial I guess.
There are some good cordial brands though, and my cousin just brought back some really nice elderflower cordial from America.

Ohh I know what those are, I like those. IKEA sells a lingenberry syrup that's not bad, and all of the German and Polish stores carry a lot of these.

No. That's cranberry sauce. And I'd never do that because it sounds gross.
