Yeah, they did. Also, that 'playtime: up to 6 hours' is true if you mean the point at which you go 'screw this, we're gonna go play tic-tac-toe'.

I got Risk for christmas once. Never opened it and I still have it in the basement. I would throw it away, but I keep telling myself that:
A) One day this will be worth money
B) One day my kids will really piss me off and I am gunna make them play this

That counts right?

I really hope this statement is based off of limited experience with American beer like Budweiser, because we have some really good microbreweries here in the 'States.

I attempted to play Risk once, but the only other player was my dad. It was boring (to play with just him). Somehow I feel the Khazd's idea is a staple amongst fathers.

Yes, I am. Every time any of my American friends come over, they usually bring some truly foul beer for me, "love in a small boat" kinda beer. I don't know if they do this because they hate me or because it is all they have access to. Seeing as the second option makes me feel smiley, i went with that. Now you have cast the shadow of doubt on my happy feelings. I truly hope you are happy.

Haha, just tell yourself they have bad taste in beer, or can't afford to visit you AND bring good beer. Good brands like Sam Adams, Harpoon, Long Trail, Magic Hat, Sierra Nevada etc. are going to be ~$10 USD for a 6-pack of bottles depending on where you are in the country. You can get a 30-pack of something cheap (and terrible) for the same price.

My professor cannot get over how awesome I am. I just had another excellent review. Add that to the compliment of being "one of the top five students in [his] fifteen years of teaching," and I just could die from praise.

On the other hand, it might be unnatural how much I seek out praise and how incredibly great it makes me feel to have validation from other intelligent people that I am, in fact, smart.

In any case, it was a good day.

Hah, yes.

I heart the game lots, but, I think I've never actually finished a game. Usually, we get down to like two people left, and give up.

I got a record from about 15 years ago. wasn't an issue until I tried to cross the border to do something for work, guy at border was having a bad day or something and put a flag on me because of that. can no longer cross border until I pay 500$ to have flag removed. Don't really feel like spending 500$ so therefore, stuck here. With the snow. Which I have been informed has turned to rain and thus my mood has lightened once again.

Huh, I just googled Irkutsk. I was almost there once. We went to Mongolia with school and stayed somewhere on the northern border. I do not recommend going to Mongolia.
