So, ahem, my town has been in a state of emergency for the past day or so because of a complete water shortage. At the water treatment plant, they accidentally over-fluoridated the water (but cut the contaminated water off before it reached the water supply). We switched to getting water from the city next door but a water main exploded and we lost what water we had left and the extra supply wasn't enough to build back up any water pressure.

All the schools, restaurants, stores, the university were closed at 1pm on Friday. We got water back at around 2:30 this afternoon.

It was pretty scary to see how tenuous our water could be. I was carrying up buckets of water from the creek next till our house to flush the toilets.

I got a new laptop for my birthday after using my brother's old windows 8 laptop for the last 6 months when my 't' key unexpectedly fell off, and then unexpectedly stopped balancing in it's old spot well enough to keep using about 4 months after falling off. I'd forgotten how overly friendly windows 10 is. I can't believe McAfee managed to make me feel guilty for uninstalling it.*

Uninstallation totally is a word. In German we say Deinstallation, does that work in English?

Deinstallation works in English and is not wrong, but I don't think I've heard it used. Uninstall is all I ever hear.

Yeah I think 'deinstallation' was probably the word I wanted. My spell check underlined 'uninstallation' but like it also underlines words like 'realise' so I don't really trust it.*

*Also now I've typed this out 'deinstallation' is underlined too. Useless.

I have really bad day. I was going to park today but suddenly some dog attacked me and bit. I immediately went to the emergency rooms in Dallas, http://emergency-rooms-in-dallas-for-cheap.com/mmmmm-free-goo . The doctor prescribed me needed treatment and everything was ok.

The needed treatment was replacement of the arm with a metal arm. So cool!

Had a surprisingly good day today. The kind of day where you end up liking mankind because, despite working retail, the customers were a delightful combination of needy and grateful.
