Smiley_cow I agree. If I had to choose between American, Australian, or British TV I'd go to British. If Canadian came into it though... I'd have troubles because they made Degrace High, and YCDCOTV (maybe?) etc and they where so important to my childhood I'm not sure if I could dismiss them.

Canadian may win it for me too, I don't like the idea of life without Due South, CODCO, Kids in the Hall, Slings and Arrows, SCTV and Street Legal which I've just begun watching again. Not to mention French shows from Quebec.

I may have meant YCDTOTV - for some reason in my head the acronym is YCDCOTV (even though I know what it stands for). Perhaps it's easier to remember when your very young. And yes, I've come to the shocking realisation that I am perhaps older than the vast majority here. On that note I just IMDB'd the show, and discovered that it was actually made before I was born, yay I'm not actually that old. As for how I've seen it, I guess it was re-runs. The same afternoon show that would play Degrassi, Dr Who, Danger Mouse, Trap Door, and a few other gems of my childhood. So I wasn't actually watching it until about seven to ten years after it was made.. which is... pretty lazy on the ABC's part, but thats about all they can afford.

Australian TV of note? Hmm... I'm not actually a very good TV buff. 80% of what I watch on TV is made in England. The other 20% are things that will never be exported. I'll think on it though, see if we actually have anything that's ever been worth exporting (Neighbours is horrible I don't care what the rest of the world things).

The big deal is, it's the only Canadian show that really gets that much exposure, and good ratings to boot. Our networks will milk that for years, and never need to put out new or decent programming again.

I live in a little valley that doesn't actually get TV reception. We have a tiny little satellite that gets 4 channels, but on the other hand we get ABC about four times (For each time zone, so if we miss a show we just watch the WA channel an hour or two later). I'm currently remembering TV as I'm house sitting. I hope to forget it soon.

Fair enough. I was just going by the IMDb page which you linked. The fact that it continued to be made until 1990 makes more sense to me, though, as I saw a fair number of episodes, and I had my doubts that they were all repeats from those two supposed seasons.
