Vampire. Jesus. Day.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

So far today I've had Candied Easter Eggs, Baklava, Greek Bread, Jelly Beans, and risking life and limb I had the smallest piece of chocolate known to man. Later I will have some Marshmallows, some Easter Cookies, and whatever else I can find in this basket of sugar that has appeared on my table. Little Easter Bunny, it is so very accommodating.

What gets changed to 'sad and lonely'?

I went out for sushi, found out that the owner of my favorite Japanese place has the same birthday as me (though not the same year), went out to the bar, then came home and watched a zombie movie with a couple friends. That last part might have to become an Easter tradition.

I think today we might go get a lot of on-sale candy. :D

sad and lonely. And Sadness and loneliness is "sadness and loneliness".
It was instituted before your time. When Ahmet first joined he pretty much mentioned his Sadness and loneliness in every third post. It became tiresome.

I went out for sushi on Saturday for my Dad's b-day (which was on Sunday, but with turkey, we couldn't really celebrate it then). This is only the third time I've had sushi, and this place was fantastic. Mostly because of their "spicy rolls", which aren't really spicy at all. They had salmon, tuna and scallop spicy rolls, and each of them was fantastic. Though the scallop one was particularly awesome. I could go back there and order just those. So good.

Being descendant from Dutch farmers. Not much on the plate for anything varying too far afield.
Plus, I've actually had it 4 times. 3 in the last 10 months. One other time over 5 years ago. And I didn't like it at all. Now I've always known it wasn't a great place for it (a buffet-style oriental chain restaurant - the Mandarin for those who might know it), but I still wasn't anxious to retry. It doesn't help that I don't like seaweed, but I didn't realize how minor the seaweed taste is in good sushi.

I've had "good sushi" before and I didn't like it. I like my sushi crunchy and weird.

EDIT: Actually, I went to a restaurant with friends who raved about the place and said that all the food was delicious. I could not taste a thing except for the eel and the salty green bean pod things. It was an incredibly disappointing meal.

It amuses me that unagi translates into eel. I would love to hear somebody being corrected on that - no it's not eel, it's eel.
