Peace out, Texas.

I am happy to see other liberals proposing that we just let Texas leave. Good riddance, I say. And, yes, go ahead and take Oklahoma, Alabama, and Louisiana, too. You all can create your own every person over ten militia, build your fences between there and Mexico, ban gays from breathing, and say that dinosaur bones were put there by the devil.

Don't Mess With Texas...Get Rid Of It

But then we'd have to change our flag...50 is a cool number...

Michigan is a non-simply connected region.

And Guam is fun to say.
Guam Guam Guam Guam Guam.

So we've got options!

And Puerto Rico! This just might work...

More than just Guam, though. There is Puerto Rico (although, we might want to pass on that one), the U.S. Virgin Islands, and places like Midway.

We have a plethora of replacements ready and available.

Texas as it's own autonomous state would be awesome. I like watching the social experiment that is USA from the distance as is, but taking away all of the sane Americans and leaing a concentrated hotspot would mean the results would be visible much sooner.

Also, once the split happens, the rest of USA should occasionally make threats of invasion to watch them all stockpile their weapons and bunker down in their homes every time. It'll be fun.

On the other hand...
Whose brilliant idea was that, anyway?

I love how this guy is so opinionated. It's like he's better than the texans.

He also seems to be better than the folks in the middle east, since he mentions us a few times.

You know if Texas leaves Chuck Norris goes with it?

He has just finished 27th grade at the University of Penn., where he has been studying the Middle East.

In that case I retract my previous statement. It's refreshing to see someone attempt to understand us. I mean, getting to know your enemy is crucial. Let's be honest. If you drop a bomb on a terrorist, it'll kill that terrorist and the two houses next to him. However, the relatives of those neighbors will likely become terrorists against the people who didn't care about killing their relatives.

Don't get me wrong, I don't support terrorism, nor do I feel extremists are justified. It's just that the American military is just as terror-inclined as terrorist cells. The difference is that they do on behalf of the state, rather than in the name of the state.

I agree with you, entirely.

It's part of why I made my student's listen to an NPR interview with a "terrorist," aka "rebel," aka "freedom fighter." I think it's important that we understand that not only are there real people living side-by-side the "terrorist targets" but that terrorists themselves, are actually real people. That things like the death of this individual's sister (who was not involved in terrorism) and eleven members of her family from an American air strike, his religious convictions, and his nationalism all drive him to fight off the American enemy. Understanding that is crucial in understanding how to end the war and how to lessen a general feeling of resentment (or hatred) from many Muslims in the Middle East toward America.

Also, did you know that the Palestine-Israel situation would be a lot more stable now if the US hadn't used it's security council veto. So well done for that.

What thing was veto'd? It's had to keep track of the things I disapprove of sometimes.
