Well it clears up that problem of our politicians lying to get a war.

O wait does it?

I was always under the impressions that were worse leaders in the world than Saddam Hussein. Though he was not elected democratically, he actually maintained Iraq as a secular nation, allowing churches and temples to exist and gave some Iraqi citizens some degree of religious freedom. His execution was a farce considering the crimes committed by others in similar positions and the punishments they recieved for it.

The US would know better than to send an army into a country that actually presented a threat to it, unless the situation was considered really desperate. This story I think showed that, un-democratic as he was, he actually intended to protect his country to the best of his ability. It saddens me to think that doing so brought about his demise.

Since when is chemistry not a science?

I'm going to make a possibly unpopular opinion piece, but before I state that, I want to see what you dudes and boobs have taken away from the article.
I want to see what you think BEFORE I make my opinion. If you just browsed the article and thought "meh" and shrugged, let me know.

I never trust what I read anymore, but the story is believable in my opinion. I never had anything but suspicion about the circumstances surrounding the invasion of Iraq.

I'm not sure what part of the article you want us to focus on here. I have lots of opinions, and none of them really informed or formed. I am a terrible human being who does not study and examine wars as thoroughly as I should. I know they are bad, but I ignore them, much as I ignore homeless people when I walk passed them.* I think, though, if America want's to start invading countries for their possession of weapons of mass destruction they should actually pay attention to North Korea. Bit two faced really "oh yeah, well we didn't like Iraq so we invaded, but Korea is threatening left right and centre but... well we like them, we're still on talking terms". If your going to be an interfering nation interfere everywhere. At least then its equal meddling.

But I digress and as I pointed out already, I know next to nothing about any of these situations.

This article holds as much importance to me as Michael Jackson's death. Next to none. I feel sympathy for Suddan (can't spell, don't care), but he made his choices just as everyone does, and I do not agree with many of his choices. In that vein, I don't agree with Robert Mugabi (spelling again), or many other dictators that have come to power because of America's influence. No I'm not attacking America, again I don't know that much about it all, but it must be accepted that America has had at least as much negative influence on the world as positive (go baseball).

It also seems that people now want to persecute their government (America again) for starting a war which they allowed. To say "oh look it was all a lie, there where no WMD so you where wrong to invade." The government made a decision, right or wrong and no matter the reason, they made a decision that they believed was the best decision at that time. The government was elected to make such decisions.

Hmm... I'm rambling with no clear direction. I shouldn't talk about politics and realistic things. I'm very bad at it.

*this is a lie, I usually give them money and feel sorry for them, so they get my attention.

Well thank you Kimra and Sahan so far for commenting. Is this all that'll be said though?

Well, I'll make my own opinion clear. I don't trust anyone, and all of our governments tend to just throw their weight around without really caring what happens to actual people. In the grand scheme of things, it's like we don't even matter. Seems pretty simple to me.

What do the US, Canadia, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea and the rest of the world have in common? They don't give a damn about my opinions or what happens to me. I've never been convinced that I have a choice in anything that happens.

LR is a fatalist.

I'm an optimist, I have to believe that each individual can make a difference to the greater order. Else what are assassins for?

I believe the use of targeted killings for political reasons has been banned since 1976.

Wouldn't really bother me either way. In fact it'd prove quite entertaining. You should post here and tell us all about it.

In all honesty, I always think, won't an assassination just lead to another crazed politician taking over? That's the beauty of fatalism. There's always a plan B.
