Don't worry, you are very much not on the list of people I would want to kill. Nor is anyone else on this forum.

Oh, okay, cool. I feel empathy for a lot of people, often so strongly it might be better for me if I didn't.

Yay! Safe!

There are also many people I would not cry over if they died. And if the zombie apocalypse comes? I'm gonna kill anyone who threatens me and mine. Since most of you are in another country, this probably wont affect you at all.

Sometimes I wonder if young people think watergate was a scandal involving water. Because I wouldn't blame them at all.

It is William Safire's fault. It has been proposed that he popularized the usage in part to decrease the stigma of the Watergate scandal as he was an ally of Nixon. If that is true and there are kids who think Watergate was a scandal involving water, then he has succeeded I guess. Safire wrote the column On Language which was partly about novel usages, so I suspect he knew what he was doing. I wish someone had thought of it 50 years before and maybe we could have attached to 'teapot' to the end of scandals. Although if the same formula was followed, it would have been 'dome,' which is less ridiculous.

"Benghazi teapot" sounds like a sex position.

Man we had some rain this week. And some hail. It was all kind of impressive.

Yeah, I saw those pictures of that last hailstorm. It's pretty crazy when the aftermath of a hailstorm looks like the aftermath of a snowstorm.

Not this week, just in general:

"my friend left her window open in her bedroom and came back to find this. look at his self-satisfied little face, the cheeky shit. motherfucking australia."
This quickly escalates to:
"no but when you’re 12 years old and riding your bike like mad on the way home from school with an icecream bucket on your head with like branches and shit sticking out if it to scare them off and none of this is considered strange"

Man I thought we were going to talk about Joe Hockey telling all the poor people that to buy a home they just needed to get jobs that pay better. Not that birds aren't cool as well.

I did that once. Of my own accord. Without a nuisance bird there-affixed. There is a picture of it on my FB I believe. But in my case it was a weird tangent to my cleaning attempts.
