Hmm, we don't really have a big fast pastry chain. We have Tim Horton's but I don't think anyone actually buys doughnuts from there so they were all manufactured with the opening of the store in 1964. It's like you buy a jar of everything when you first move in and never use it, but with doughnuts. Anyway, their coffee is shit, too, so I really don't get how they're still around.

Their coffee is great.
Their donuts and other pastries were good too, until about 2002ish, when they stopped making everything at the store, and started shipping them with everything done but the frying.
Man I miss when they were made at individual stores.
You used to be able to get particular creations done by particular chefs, and that has since gone.

I don't drink coffee, so I can't comment on that aspect, but I'm generally unimpressed with Tim Horton's doughnuts/bagels and the like. It wouldn't bother me so much except that we used to have good doughnut/bagel places here until we got four Tim Horton's and they drove them out of business.

Pretty much all coffee is awful, it doesn't at all taste how it smells. It smells great, tastes like mud. I did stop at a Tim Horton's to get a donut whilst I was in Canadia though.
