saw an ad for my stupid life on the SMBC sidebar and decided to give it a go. Most of them were worth a chuckle and a few were pretty hilarious. Short story even shorter, it is now on my list of webcomics to check.

promotions for all!

except frostbite.

naturally.

Anyone else see 8-bit theater ended? Gotta say, that's pretty sad. It was one of a VERY short list of comics that was regularly updated AND consistently funny. You will be missed.

Was that really the end of the entire series? I thought the end simply was a movie joke.
I assumed that the title, what were you expecting, simply refered to the ending of that arc.

Is he really just ending it?

you think it's for reals? i keep hoping it's just a stunt... but if it is over, at least it ended on a high note.

He's been talking about ending it for a long time. With Atomic Robo taking off and everything else the guy is trying to do, I'm thinking it's over.

I saw it, but I'm not quite ready to believe it just yet.

It does seem quite funny. I like it. I'll give it a further shot at a future time, though I could see it getting tacked on to my list as well.

Anybody ever read the Kate Beaton comics? They're pretty fabulous. Historical comics. Kinda weird.

Yeah, I've seen a few of the later Kate Beaton ones. I loved the ones with Benjamin Franklin flying a kite and Napolean eating a cookie. It's just a bizzare and random humour but it cracks me up.

Doesn't anyone read stuff with paper nowadays? (Surprised everything listed so far is digital.)

I'm a big fan of Rising Stars, I'd also recommend Wanted(the movie is a goddamn crack baby's lie).

Anything Alan Moore, none of the movie atrocities based on. (Yes I'm looking forward to watchmen, but in that painful train wreck kind of way.) Considering the director for that has already gotten Moore to forsake him, in record time that can't be a good sign... still there's always that hope they won't fuck over the one comic book to have won a hugo.

http://seraph-inn.com has some very nice art and pretty good story/plot, some humour but all of it character driven not external.

I'm sure I could list off a lot more paper comics, but those are what pop off the tip of my head.

Paper killed my parents! And trees.

And it's a webcomic forum, we're naturally prone to see "what are the good comics out there?" as "what are the good webcomics out there?".

I've been following the webcomic Geist-Panik. It's the came creator as Hookie-pookie panik, but the art is improved, as well as having an actual plot. And aside from some character designs being used from the first series, it's been very original.

Gamer slang is used sometimes, but I feel he's gotten them to come up naturally in conversation this time around.

Isn't that why we have the Books forum?

Double Post Madness: It was a joke, and 8-bit theater is alive and well.
