I've read enough manga to know that when a chick says she hates the a character, she'll just fall in love with him 100 chapters later.

I'd go to Japan just to get my picture taken with the real 1:1 Gundam Model they just finished building in Tokyo.

That thing is just begging to be stolen by Carmen Sandiego.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

With her talents at stealing monuments, I have no doubt she could pull it off.

No girls on the internets!

I find that funny though, an anime fan mentions that she's a girl and everyone goes "oh shit, what do we make fun of her for now? Fuck."

New season of Haruhi Suzumiya. They've only done one episode so far, though, because they're running through the whole series again. Like, chronologically and shit.

That's always so bizarre, but then again so is everything else about manga. Fortunately!*

They're doing the same thing with FMA. This leads me to believe that with relatively few fillers (aside from the fricken first episode) that the manga will finish by the time the anime reaches about where the manga currently is.

Also, there are tons of things to make fun of. Kimra, do you believe yourself to be a cat-girl?

Also, Cromartie High School and Bobobo are good comedies that are both in english anime and manga form.

I would have to say The Plague, but then again that's the only Camus novel I've ever read.

Is that real? (clearly that picture is not) If so where is it? I'm going to go and sit on his foot next time I'm there.

It's in Odaiba's Shiokaze Park. I have no idea where that is, though.

FIX'ed - and also courteously supplied ammunition for mockery
AHMETxRock wrote:Kimra, do you believe yourself to be a cat-girl?
Why yes, yes I do. Nyon.

Opinions based on the manga:
Naruto = awesome (first 100 chapters sucked though)
Bleach = awesome (but haven't read the most recent chapters because I'm lazy. also I hate Orehime (spl?))
One Piece = got bored
D.Gray-Man = have to read
Full Metal Alchemist = got bored really quickly (should probably give it another chance)
Bakuman = ???
Claymore = bored
Death Note = I miss 'L' and couldn't read it after he died
Dragon Ball (regular, not Z) = hate the art
Pokemon Adventures = should probably read this and give it a go... but the number of chapters terrifies me.

Currently reading:
GINTAMA = proof that everything is funny (though this is Anime, the manga is a bit slow)
Fruits Basket = the most awesome writing ever
Fairy Tale = kind of enjoyable but nothing to write home about
Reborn = I love this one. I'm such a fangirl.
Until Death Do Us Part = No where near as cheesy as it sounds. Newest read, and excellent find.
Skip Beat = The ultimate in girl power (in western sense not sailor moon sense) manga, five stars)
Midnight Secretary = how many time can the vampire sex her up? At least once a chapter. (but I like vampire stories)*
Gokusen = I have increased my knowledge japanese swear words thanks to this one (but very girly anyway)
Ouran High Host Club = eye candy for me! Stuff you all, I'm a girl I deserve eye candy too.
Kuroshitsuji = I need to read it again to decide
Vampire Knight = wait! what? there... brother and sister? ewww

Hows that for being a nerd?

*totally not reading it for the porn. actually I'm not, porn is nothing when compared to ANGST

Seconded. Cromartie High is fucking hilarious.

Pretty good, but not the best. The Fall is very good, and unconventional.
Kimra wrote:Fruits Basket = the most awesome writing ever
Really? I remember in high school every 16-year-old girl took this out from our school library, and all of the tibetan kids are constantly reading it at my library and leaving our graphic novel section in shambles.

I'll read trashy manga (i.e. Naruto) and things like that to wile away the hours, but Fruits Basket was amazing. If your not into sentimental story lines, and emotive-ness (I'm all full of eloquent today) than don't bother with it. But as far as character, story, script and art went this is a top quality manga that can not be overlooked. I actually bought this manga, in English and Japanese (not that I can read the japanese much), if that doesn't show my love of it, nothing ever will. The anime is really funny, though again has the sentimental bits that could deter some.

p.s. You suck. My library had Agatha Christi and text books. It was the most boring selection of novels ever known to man. I am jealous of manga in the library.

Hey I only read one Agatha Christi novel but it was very good (the last Poirot novel). so don't talk down about it. It was the first mystery novel I read where I was left completely surprised about who the perpetrator was, I didn't even suspect the killer at all.
