Weird. I did an entire film studies thesis on Kurosawa, especially Dreams, and it was the consensus that it was the last film he made. His studio wouldn't even budget it, he had to rely on money from directors like Spielberg to create it at all.

Curse you imdb.

Now I could go back to my old English teacher ways and go on for ever about archtypes and about how there are only a few original stories and everyting after that is just a slightly alter version of those stories, but that would be long and boring. And I just don't give a rat's ass or remember all of it.

You don't have 2 to 8 hours to waste on moderate entertainment? Somehow I doubt that.

No, I have nothing but time. I'm on maternity leave. What I don't have is desire.

You know, I like you the more you post.
Nope, I have no desire either. I read about a chapter of one book on a lunch break once. Just picked it up, turned to the middle of the book, and read a bit. Nothing special.
And I've seen a piece of the first movie because my sister was watching it while doing laundry. It wasn't my cup of tea.
And the bigger the franchise gets, the less interested I am.

For getting 4 weeks of paid vacation that doesn't count towards my accrued vacation days?! If you feel sorry for that you must be in the best band in the world!

I feel like it was overdone before it started... But I cant complain about the efforts to get kids reading again. I am big on that.
And I'm glad you like me. Cuz I decided to start stalking you on your blog yesterday. By stalking I mean I read it and commented once, then I moved on.

As for maternity leave, it's quiet for now... The baby is due in 4 weeks. Then I'm sure I'll have more than enough to do and I won't be online nearly as much.

Yeah, I was preaty much a ghost for my whole leave. What's the point of waisting time on the internet when you're not at work?
