Did anyone else notice the "coincidental" disappearance of GC and spam bots happened at the same time?

Maybe this was like that episode of the Twilight Zone with Jessica Simpson where all the creepy dolls are actually trying to warn her about the little girl. And now were too late, and didn't hear their warning. Phenterminewas not purchased, gambling was not done, and only modest amounts of porn were viewed. Now GC has been turned into a Barbie and there's nothing we can do to save him.

Why didn't we listen?!

I have noticed the rather glaring absence of spam.
Its good in that there is no spam, but bad in that there aren't many new threads in which to post.
And now that you say it, it did start roughly around the time of GC's diminished presence.
