So, I had SMBC open in a window while I left for work today, and when I came back I was afflicted with the same trojan that Zach has.
Please, please, help me rid myself of it. I'm running SpyBot and AVG as we speak, but I am not optimistic. I need some help, and given somewhat simply (I'm somewhat comp-savvy, but not ridiculously so, and I don't want to screw anything up).

Yikes, I just checked appears I have something too, called Dropper.Agent.JOC
Does this the mean SMBC is infected?

We'll see what Mr. Spybot S&D has to say about this!

No, seriously. I downloaded Avast Anti-virus and it was unable to get rid of the trojan because "it was currently being used in another program" all the time.
However, Avast did manage to lessen the pain, by blocking the pop-ups and simply warning me about it occasionally (and I basically took up ignoring it).
Anyways, my computer had to update last night, and when it restarted I had a little window saying that Windows had detected a virus, but that I should not count on that as an anti-virus program. And basically it rid me of the evil demon.
I'm assuming it was a result of the update. Perhaps there were enough afflicted, so they found the problem, fixed it, and then updated so that all may do the same. Happy days.

Haha, awesome. A program designed to delete and destroy malicious viruses can't do it's job because the virus doesn't want to cooperate. Who made this program, Church of England?

Thanks for the warning! I might stay away for a while. Until it's known. Just ran AVG and it's given me the all clear, and I'd rather it stayed that way! Avast!

It was a one-time thing, I'm pretty sure. Someone hacked the site, and all the IP addresses connected to it. I was the only one who actually got it, because my browser was open to SMBC at the time (while I was gone to work).
