I like my country, but I sure don't believe in that patriot whatsit. Hopefully it will just be another of the myriad smears on GB's record and not a continuing thing. I trust Obama, but I'm not counting my chickens before they're hatched, that's for sure.

Re: Annoyging Signatures
It was meant more to instill fear in the people. That's all he's really done in terms of tactics.
I was talking with my father about the 2004 election. You see, George Bush was just as popular as he was when he got elected in 2000!
John Kerry did not use smear tactics against Bush, thinking that the attrocities done would speak for themselves. Meanwhile, McCain and other republicans choose not to oppose Bush. Bush had no one politically opposing him, only people standing in his way.

Re: Annoyging Signatures
Kerry lost because his entire campaign was basically "Not Bush". He had no character, and was simply a stand in that would become president if the American people were sick of Bush's nonsense. If they would've had someone with actual character, an actual platform, Bush might've only had one term.

Re: Annoyging Signatures
us democrats pride ourselves on providing the most boring, lifeless candidates in order that they may be destroyed. stupid bill clinton and that new president guy just had to come around and ruin things for us. i just don't feel right being happy with our presidential selection. i much prefer complaining about it as annoyingly as possible.

But when there are two candidates without platforms, we pick the not another bush possibility eh?

Haha. I wonder how McCain and Biden would team up. They're both conservative enough.

I'd comment further, but I'm not American, so while I know a bit, I'm also not that invested.AHMETxRock wrote:But when there are two candidates without platforms, we pick the not another bush possibility eh?
From my position though, both McCain and Obama had more character and policy than Kerry did.
And lets be honest, Obama mostly won because he was able to mobilize support. Unlike Kerry, who apparently mostly alienated support.
