I lifted the site of xtranormal from qwantz and am making a video on it. I could either show you or not show you, depending on whether or not I want to.

Sahan, we have to do both. The point of turnitin is that it searches the internet for the sentences and phrases from your paper to see if you plagiarized.

Yes, and if you are going to write an original paper, or plagarize but attempt to get away with it, you would enter it into the site and make sure there are no problems with it. The chances of two people writing the exact same sequence of words as one another becomes phenominally huge, but it can still occur.

Here's a tip. If something that you yourself wrote is flagged, attempt to get the source you are allegedly are plagarizing from as a source. Some professors might think you put more effort into it, others would not like you being unable to produce anything of your own. It's a double-edged sword, use it well.

I hate turnitin.com, and I never used it. But I had friends who had to (my university instituted it in my last year, and it never came up in my classes). Especially when it would give a percentage plagiarized, when that percentage was the quotes that are used in the paper. Which doesn't matter when the teacher reads it, but when the teacher is crap and tends to skim more than read, and that percentage can give them a poor first impression of the paper. My friend even did a paper on some fairly popular topic and had their footnote references turn up as plagiarized.

Checking out Miniature Tigers' myspace page. Sampling their stuff before they open for Ben Folds when I see him next month.

unwinding after attending a tutoring session for extra credit. I don't need the tutoring, but I just do my homework really slow there and I get extra credit for doing something I should be doing anyways. This should give me at least 5 points overall on my class's score if I mazimize.

Watching 'How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back' arguably the finest episode about Hermes ever written. Also, waiting for Mage to finish his gorram paper because I am almost out of things to read.
