Forumbattle Enrollment

hey everyone, as per a general concensus (at least 3 think it'd be cool), i decided that we need a forum sketchbattle. I'll leave enrollment open for a few days or so, so if you wanna compete just say so in this thread or send me a pm. When registration is over i'll compile a list of combatants and create a timetable for batt'lin. After the schedules are set, combatants will have up 'till a deadline for submission to me via pm (that way both comics are posted at the same time on the thread) and we'll have voting commence afterwards.

I'm in. Lets make it no more often than one battle per competitor per week though. I don't know if I have the time for more than one a week.

We should have a cap though too. Somewhere between 8-10 people would be a good number I think.

I had an idea for the battles. I thought that to discourage favortism we could make the comics anonomis. Like A vs. B, giving tucker and hawhaw a fair chance to win. So that way when my comic says "Haw haw is a loser," and hawhaw's comic says "TwoBuy is a loser, but not as much of one as me," that we will have an equal chance to win!

It was such a good idea in my head.

i'm cool with that. i was thinking that the best way would be to have 2 round robin groups of 4 each with the winningest 2 people of each group moving on to a semifinal and the winners of that facing of in a final. i think the world-cup style tournament makes a lot more sense than just a big round-robin. That means that everyone would be signing up for 3-5 comics depending on how well you do.

edit: also, if you don't get in and want to participate, i'm sure we'll have a second season (if we want to). also, so that we're all clear - to this point we have: ruotwocone, TwoBuy, Jesster, hawhaw, wolf and steffles signed up. so 2 (or 4) more spots left

that makes 9 which means we only have room for 1 more. we_are... you in? otherwise we may have to make tucker reconsider.

edit: also should we ask zach or dani to make us a forumbattle thread in the main page, or just spam up the outlands with these things?
