It's a big internet out there.

I know there are a few 4chan types here (I'm not one to judge), but are there other fora that you lot frequent?
I only ever come here with any kind of regularity, and it strikes me as kind of odd that I'd pick a webcomic forum to patronize and then hardly ever talk about webcomics.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

1) Literotica (prior to a whole bunch of badness that led to me leaving).
2) Dryerlint (invite-only).
3) Here (because people seemed like funny douche-bags, rather than regular old douche-bags).

Nope, here's the only one. I tried the nuklearpower forum, but I didn't like it. Too big.

Only forum where I sort of fit in (and recently I've been pushing that), so no. I don't frequent other places apart from here. Nowhere else really has the magic, nowhere else has comments that make me laugh out loud and nowhere else do I find a bunch of lunatics I would happily invite to a party.

I think this is helped by the fact that it's for a webcomic like SMBC without storylines to talk about or artwork to discuss and so we make our own fun instead of rattling on about our specialist forum subject like what button on the game pad is nicest to touch or what type of bait is best for catching herring.* There's no distractions and so conversation reigns supreme. Except for when we're talking about ourselves which we do a lot.

Pfft, I NEVER talk about myself. I just, I mean, personally, I'm not the type to be interested in just prattling on about ME, ya know? I think it's one of my defining characteristics.

I yoused to frequent a StarCraft forum, but I probably left because I am basically the worst player of StarCraft ever. Also apparently I was hella annoying (I can't imagine why). Whatever. It's funny that if I ever take a moment to look back at it, none of the posters from my time are still there, except for a couple of stickies that are still around; it's a real "One Hundred Years of Solitude" feeling, hahah. Other than that, I'm not that big on forums, although when I'm on one I tend to post a lot, because I have a lot of free time (I'm actually a student who really should be studying, but I'm pretty lazy).

No, but have you noticed the amount of threads that start talking about the forum?

I think you're just Furthering the Problem, Cirtur.

Come to think of it, why do we really need to discuss webcomics? That sounds kind of boring to me honestly. I mean I think I can figure out for myself what is funny and what is not anyway, and we do have the "good comics" thread.

I'm not saying discussing the comic is what we should do. I like it how it is, although if there were more members in my timezone, I would enjoy the forum more. With, that it is bedtime. Goodnight.

Sorry I was half replying to you and half replying to OP. I'm thinking of going to sleep myself, even though it's only 8, because I only got 7 hours of sleep and it seems my crazy body needs about 16.

Oh, I'm not saying we should discuss webcomics more, either. We'd run out of stuff to discuss pretty quick.
But for some reason, we all joined this forum anyway.

Pfft the Internets are FULL of tits. They're all over the place. I think there are more tits than non-tits on the Internets.

Every other forum that I was a regular member of ended up being destroyed, so I don't have any allegiance to anywhere else but here.

I actually enjoy how self-aware this Forum is. I personally think we talk about it so much because of how disastrously the previous incarnations fared. Because this place crashed and burned so horrendously in several variations, we look upon this one as we might a rollercoaster constructed out of matchlight charcoal that has wheels made of steel on a flint rail. Sure, it promises an exiting time, but how much longer until it self-destructs in a spectacular manner? So, much like how small talk in line on that rollercoaster inevitably degrades into conversation about the 'Coaster itself, we end up talking about the Forum.

Wow, that was long-winded and nonsensical.

This is my second forum. I posted on AlbinoBlackSheep forums a couple years back, and I got to about 1400 posts I think. That forum was huge compared to this one, and looking back on it now, I despise it. A lot of members meant a lot of posts and so I could only follow a tiny percentage of them. It also meant a lot of trolls, flamers, and general douchebags. Worst of all, there was an overarching sense of member hierarchy to everything. Members with earlier join dates and higher posts counts were kings. Members with later join dates and lower posts counts were scum. If someone with less than 100 posts made a thread, it was essentially guaranteed they would be unanimously flamed. Thread content didn't matter. Inside the thread discussion, things were basically the same. Every topic somehow ended up on how the new guy soandso is stupid but that older guy whatshisname is awesome. Essentially, the forum veterans sat around all day stroking each others' internuts and throwing rocks at the newbies. It was so gay.

This is my first forum, though I'm a little weary of admitting that as of two weeks ago I had never actually been on a forum before...
