That's right, there's a gigantic science lying right underneath your vision, and it has no practical consequence to your day-to-day living*. It makes me feel somewhat proud.

*The three most useful things we do are 1. translating (I only know English), 2. computer science (I don't know anything about computer science), and 3. speech pathology (which is its own program). Hurray! I contribute nothing!

Doubtful, there is no phonological data on Linear A, and we still lack the data to decipher it with any accuracy. Moreover I can't imagine what one would DO with it, though I guess that's funny coming from someone who studies this for no reason.
