The wife seems to have settled on jujubee. I'm good with juju. I did briefly consider clown features though.

The kitten has already learned to play fetch better than the dog ever did.

My cat has recently developed the skill of "falling on my hand when I leave it out for her", so she's not quite there yet.

One of my cats played fetch a lot as a kitten. It's pretty adorable.

That cat does look like it could commit murder at any time with no warning.

Ed I assure you it gets sunlight plenty there. Also it keeps going even without direct sunlight on it.

Everyone else: this cat will maul you faster than it takes most humans to blink. I have taken photos of my battle wounds. Wounds gained by doing such exciting things as: breathing, huffing, pressing the space bar on the keyboard, moving, living, being near by.

Not my pet, but my parents. A singularly well behaved, wonderful dog. I think she's about 10 months or so. Not much of a barker, was quickly house trained, and is terribly affectionate. My sister is taking care of her for the week, but she got a chance to explore my apartment before my sister took her. I imagine I might take advantage of my ability to borrow her for a while at some point.
Adorably, the last time I visited my parents at their trailer was the first time I think she really understood I was part of the family. It was really cute how excited she was to see me (probably downgraded this visit, since she was distracted by the unfamiliar digs).

Humourously, my dad despised the idea of small dogs. But he got Nezzie* for my mom for her birthday in April, and he's definitely fallen in love with her. So much so that me and my sister considered giving him a birthday gift (his birthday is 3 weeks after my mom's) that consisted of all of the things he said he hated throughout our childhood. To see just how much he'd changed.

*Short for Nebuchadnezzar. Which is what my dad wanted to name our first dog**, but my sister and I stopped that. Strange that it stuck for this dog, despite this one being a girl.
** It is a biblical reference about Nebuchadnezzar becoming like a dog or somesuch. I don't recall the story exactly.

I can totally believe that I just watched a minute-long video of you giving a cat scritchies. She's a big cat. I learned that one of my friends has a cat named Maurice Ravel* and I really want to meet him.

*she's a composition major
