Well I am not an art buff. I'm afraid I have nothing to contribute here.
I was my best inspiration to draw.

I want to be Dan Lacey when I grow up. Zina Saunders is a rad artist that does mostly political pieces. Jason Caffoe is just really neat to me, maybe borderline similar to that guy Fenghar mentioned first. I am also a big fan of surreal photo manipulation, but I can't seem to recall this one really cool website I used to frequent. Dali rocks so hard. I love his film. There is a purely excellent unfinished short by he and Walt Disney I saw an exhibit at LACMA. His other film, though, is also troublingly good.

Actually, if we are including artistic photographers, then I know several who I find rather talented. But I need to go to work, so no sharing possible.

I am surprised no one has put in a mention for H.R. Geiger yet. You all seem to enjoy surrealism and yet you do not mention one of the best? For shame.

I feel the need to whore out some cool local artists. John Donato does really cute stuff. Anne Hanna is an excellent watercolorist that is very local. Barb is an awesome person with beautifully constructed paintings, but I don't love the beachy theme of her stuff. Tom Frey makes gorgeous things. The things shown on this page are not even close to his best. Justin is a glassblower and a good one at that. Keith Toms made me an iron leaf, but I can't find him on the internet. This totally reveals where I live by the way. Don't rape me.

The art isn't my thing, but the pottery and class blowing was awesome!

Anne Hanna's stuff is really awesome in person, but it looks way lame in a photo. It comes across as cliche, what with the flowers and scenery, but they are beautiful and unique when you see them in full color and with all their detail. They're usually quite big and smackyouintheface kinda cool. I almost forgot Tara Funk Grim. I love her stuff. It's very original. Once again, the photos don't do justice.

Oh wow, I do like that! The city lights one is awesome. Total chaos on that canvas.

Oh dear, I had a conversation about this just a few days ago. In fact it was because my brother's in Baltimore right now for some death metal fest. Maybe you should visit him!Rainbow wrote:It's in Maryland.LordRetard wrote:Delaware?... Is that a city?

Really? I'm only a short travel away from Baltimore. If I can wheedle some gas money from someone, I might be able to visit him. And maybe give him something to send you.LordRetard wrote:Oh dear, I had a conversation about this just a few days ago.
