Is there a way to exclude forums from search results?

I use http://www.smbc-comics.com/smbcforum/se ... d=newposts to see what's been happening recently, and it's always full of the Forum Battle threads, which I'm not participating in or keeping track of, and it just annoys me having to read past it.

(also, is there a setting to show more posts per page?)

The only solution I could think of is to go into the forumbattle and click "mark all read".
