What's your best spam?
So, I came across this in my spam folder today.
Something about that just tickled me. Maybe they chose to change the spelling of "Award" because the Microsoft Award Team has long since been blocked as spam by most filters, and they hoped people wouldn't notice the change. Or maybe they just couldn't spell. I'm not sure which story I'd prefer.
And it made me start contemplating: how much spam that generates a chuckle do we glance at and throw away each day? I'm sure I've raised a smile to more than this item of spam this week, and I'd be interested in knowing if the same is true for other people. So, I ask you all, what's the best spam that you've received? Either today, or ever, it doesn't matter, I want to hear about it all.

I used to be entertained by the 'review portfolio* expansion' spam I'd get. I'm not anymore.GreenCrayon wrote:So, I came across this in my spam folder today.

Yeah, they're ubiquitous now. Only the ones that allude to the body part retain any charm. Like this one:Kimra wrote:I used to be entertained by the 'review portfolio expansion' spam I'd get. I'm not anymore.
I can't help but love the big devices bit. Much better than "More inches in your pants" which I always manage to misread as "More itches in your pants" and feel slightly uncomfortable that this service would be offered impersonally by anonymous email.

I think my favourite was one with a title like 'Valuable offers tailored just for you!' that had a completely blank interior.

I copied and pasted a good one in a thread in New Outlandia. It was an interesting spin on the Nigeria nonsense.

Watched a tv show last night about them catching some of those scammers in Australia. I found it interesting that the footage showed his mac about twenty times and his dell only about twice (and fleetingly) when I'm sure he probably used both fairly evenly (possibly the PC more, because it's better at stuffing people over).

I love how LR's newsletter lets you communicate with poultry professionals worldwide. You just can't buy that sort of community, I'll bet.
Today's offering pulled at my heartstrings, until I finished the first sentence.
Is the doctor being cold-hearted by making her leave the surgery so soon, or is it a genuine imposition to have even let her stay that long?

In a year where thousands of people will suffer from failing to take essential medication, spammers are just making the situation worse.
