Moderation

Post by Edminster »

Until Mage comes back from his posting hiatus, I am appointing LordRetard as my opposite number in Global Moderating. This is happening because it is quite clear that I am unable to responsibly moderate this Forum by myself. Hopefully Mage comes back soon so that we can get back to the happy dynamic that existed before and this dark chapter in the Forum's history shall never be mentioned again, on threat of banishment. because it really is a buzzkill to think about when Ed started banning people.

There are a couple reasons I chose LR over the other candidates who were nominated, but the main reason was that he is the only poster online as often as I am who is not my wife.

So here's to LR! May his reign as Co-Mod not devolve into more senseless killings than are absolutely necessary.

I will treat you with the same deference I have treated the mods before you.

With general indifference. Until I need something.

Congratulations. I think it's a good fit, since you [LR] and Mage are around the same age and are bearded.

What really? I always thought LR was older.

I've been assuming when people say 'school' they mean beyond highschool.

Also Ed: Blame it all on Mage, since he abandoned everyone so absolutely.

Yeah, I think he is. They're both at Uni though, so it's not that much of an age difference. We should consult him first, I think.

Yeah, you should start grovelling right away because I'm going to remember it when you do need something.

Beards generally make people more mature.

No kidding, we're both 19 (well, I'm almost 19) and in university. And it's definitely Mage's fault, but only because I need to start turning people against him so that he won't easily replace me when he comes back.

I'm curious, can a mod un-mod someone of their same level? I mean to say, can Ed debunk Mage if he was feeling nice and frisky?

I think mod powers are granted and ungranted by admins, which I am not. But Ed is, so maybe.

I kind of want an Admin war, but think it'd be one of those 'first one to strike wins' things so probably it'd be boring.

Ooh, boldface name and everything. Nice!
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

Yeah, a Mod War would pretty much be a game of Mornington Crescent, except the loser is banished forever instead of just being a loser.

Oh come on, everyone starts out with the goddamn Dollis Loop since Chekhov's famous opening at the 1968 Soviet games.

Guh, fine. Dollis Hill.
