Hmm, we had some guy get stabbed to death in the pizza place that we used to go to in middle school. Everyone's favourite fight was between one of the stoners and one of the drama kids. Guess who won! His nose was gushing like a faucet and I think he broke his arm. That was a fun day. I was watching it after I went to the store to get some snacks so I guess people frowned upon the fact that I was eating pretzels and watching some kid get his shit beat.

And I went to an all girls catholic high school. Not many jews in my school. Segregation is key.

My middle school had fights all the time. The only interesting one (which I didn't see) was when a nerdy, generally well behaved kid flipped out and knocked someone else out (gave 'em a concussion and bloody nose (I believe he was arrested or something). My friend was hit in the neck with a tennis racket by this girl (on purpose), which hit a pressure point, knocked him out, and he fell to the ground, almost fatally hitting his head, still getting a concussion and a messed up back. '

My high school never had a fight for 15 years, or so I was told.

The school where my Mum started teaching at this year is pretty bad. It's in Broadmeadows, where most people are either poor bogans, or poor immigrants. She says most of the kids are ok, but there is a percentage that are just horrible, with some thinking it's ok to harass other students and even teachers with racist taunts and violent threats. There was a rock fight yesterday, and one of her friends missed being hit in the head with a gigantic rock by a few centimeters. It's made worse by the fact they aren't allowed to discipline kids properly, they can't even suspend people.
It's really depressing.

But then again, the private school I went to had it's share of incidents as well, like one kid breaking another's jaw with a brick, and a year 8 holding a year 7 at knifepoint to intimidate him into hiding his weed in his locker.
Wow, I just realised that my Mum must have really bad taste in picking schools.

This is why you don't go to private schools. Also everyone was stoned all the time at my high school, so no one cared if you had weed on you or not. Once some kid actually got suspended for having it.

Yeah, and at my brother's Year 10 Formal everyone was taking pills and getting pissed beforehand cos they weren't allowed to bring anything in to the actual event. Pretty gross.

I got sloshed before my grade 12 prom. We have security but I don't think anyone actually cares, since everyone's pretty toasted.

But of course, there's drinking while learning which is even better.

I was only drunk at school once, when I had to be around some people and I didn't think I could take it that day. One of them went up to me and said, "hey LR, your face is red. Did you fall in the snow or something?" I think he knew that wasn't it, though.
