See I focus on visual things to the point of tuning out all other things all the time. My auditory is weak though and I tend to tune it out unless I'm specifically interacting with something that makes sound.

I also have a harder time hearing things / understanding what people are saying if my glasses are off.

My Oma takes off her glasses to hear better.

Perhaps she is some sort of superhero. And her power is average hearing. With the glasses she is a mild mannered Oma, but without them she is average-hearing mild mannered Oma*!

What if there's a problem at the post office where some crook will start shooting unless someone responds to him without saying "What?" several times first?

Then we'll get Oma, not the hero we want, but the hero we deserve.

Actually, she uses the walker now because she's afraid of falling. So that means she's less likely to trip and die than Daredevil.
