I am sorry I could not fund a bigger picture. That would mean putting forth some kind of effort and I hate doing that anymore. That shirt is priceless. I want one real bad. I cant wait to get mine.

I don't care how much sentimental value is attached to that shirt. It's an ugly piece of clothing.

This is the shirt for me. Shine a UV light on this bitch and you've got a party.

We might get linguistics shirts for the conference we're holding. I told them we should go for the "cunning linguists" ones but I think they're going with something nerdier because they're assholes.

We have a meeting on Thursday, so I'll have to break it down to them and explain why, after a month, I still thing Cunning Linguists is the way to go.

What was the other option? Try going into some sort of speech about puns and double entandres and their place in language.

Hmm, I am a master of rhetoric and a cunning linguist (GWAHAHAH). Maybe I'll try that.

One of the grad students has a facebook group called "I wish I were an anaphor so I could be bound in your domain" (you'd also be c-commanded; hilarious!), so we were thinking about that one. We were also thinking about spelling things out in IPA or syntax trees (which is the way we'd probably go because it's intro-level but still too obscure for most people). Linguistics all sounds kind of like S&M so we were going through various expressions that sound dirty. I can't remember any of the others.

Perhaps you could have one of the nerdier things on the front, and say "Cunning Linguists" on the back.

By the way, are you really a cunning linguist?

His tongue once planned a large-scale smuggling ring.
