If you are on Twitter, and you like to follow hateful people, and would like to give me examples of who, why and how long, as well as incidents in which your rage (or contempt) has been exceptionally aroused by said hateful people. I'm on twitter but I can't think of any hateful twitterers off the top of my head, though maybe if I racked my brain. What exactly constitutes hateful?

I can give you some pretty rage inducing Tumblrs though if that helps!

Tumblr does help! And I mean the sort of thing where you follow Charlie Sheen because you want to hear the next ridiculous thing he says so you can say he is stupid

Everyone I know who uses Twitter seems to have a sense of humour about themselves so I dunno.

I don't know who Stephanie Rice is, but her name could be a mash-up of Stephanie Meyer and Anne Rice, so I am going to assume she writes about vampires.

Oh yeah, I don't follow anyone for the oh wow, you're really saying that factor. For Tumblr, people have been linking me to really douchey people lately, but I'm not actually following them either. Does that matter?

Well I don't know about Carbon, but I can say that the 'steaming Rice' and 'hot Rice' headlines were definitely annoying around the time of the gold medals/record breaking.

You might be interested in Ian Martin (@IanMartin) - he's not a hateful person; he's the "swearing consultant" for The Thick of It (the finest comedy show on television and FOR SHAME for not seeing every single episode religiously, you heathens, but at least you Leftpondians will be getting Veep next year) and his job is to find creative swearwords and phrases for the character of Malcolm Tucker, the sweariest Scot on television. In order to get some fresh, creative swearing, he unfollowed everyone on Twitter and started only following Neo-Nazis (think Roman Cilicia, but with actual curse-based eloquence and originality). The result is an amazing squall of quotable Tuckerisms:

That is pretty flippin' fantastic. I would go for that except that I have already handed in the assignment, oh most dreadful of things, and it is all done and dusted and whatnot

You should look at pornstar tweets.

More importantly, now that the assignment has been turned in, is there anything interesting to follow on twitter at all? So far I've mostly just found musicians tweeting about their stuff, but if there's someone/something that tweets about other interesting news/trivia/Fun StuffTM that you know about, bring it on!

For interesting news related stuff I follow Sultan Al Qassemi and Ben Wedeman for their tweets on developments in the middle east. They're both reporters and it's nice to get a non-western take.
