I don't know why I put that emoticon in there. First, I don't like emoticons. Second, I have no reason to be angry.

might have been more accurate. Or perhaps an emoticon that is hanging itself.

I googled.. er MSN Searched emoticon and angst and didn't get anything that really said "loser" to me. So, sorry, that's my best effort... for now.

It's known as a fringe. Or as it is amusingly called in America (or so I am told) 'bangs'.

Which, in my dirty Northern English mind, is hilarious. Think Full Monty. Maybe that was only a hit in the UK, though.

No, we don't have a name for it that I'm aware of. Bangs is exclusively a term for short hair covering the forhead (has to be shorter than the rest of the hair cut); women's styles only. I suppose people would call them that to an emo kid, but only to make fun of them, not as a serious term for the style.

And we love the full monty here too. Probably more because the britonian words are funnier to us.
