Newb is also totally a correct spelling, I take it as the less derogatory version meaning 'newcomer' as opposed to 'stupid lost soul'. Yay for default wins!

I also vote Sahan. The intro was too much, but the last half was gold.

My vote: Hamburglar, I mean Sahan. I did like your's as well Rooso, it was another one of those "who do I pick?" but the Hamburglar gets it.

Sahan gets my vote. Even though he used too many words.

I actually liked Rooso's but I guess he automatically lost? In any case, Sahan's is supah-fly, too.

Yea, depending on who you ask, "newb" and "n00b" are completely different things.

"newb" implies someone who is new to the game/event, doesn't know how to play, but isn't a total retard.

"n00b" means someone who doesn't know how to play, but not because they're new, but because they lack the mental capacity to learn how to do it correctly.

I should totally write a paper on this. Internet culture has got to be the next big thing to make theories up about. My career is safe again!

Yea, but to be accurate, it would also have to be NSFW, so your audience is limited...

Not in academia. I'm in linguistics and we're not really allowed to censor our work, what with some crucial element being represented in what is censored. The first thing they taught me in class was the origin of the word "fugly".

Wow, that's way different than the composition classes we have at the college I attend.... I'm jealous.

:(

Btw, what IS the origin of the word fugly? I demand to know.

See? Linguistics is fun! Anyone want to discuss the fascinating subject of Phonotactics?

It's a neologism formed from "fucking" and "ugly". What's significant is that the onset of the first word "f" and the rhyme of the second word "ugly" is used; this is found cross-linguistically in attempts to "blend" words.
