I'm feeling a lot of anger being directed towards me in the LR direction right now.

Owl City - Fireflies.

I find it horrible you can get a ton of views by being two teenagers that pretend to lip synch to an over-rated song. I mean, smosh started like that, but their choices were nonstalgia-inducing pop culture references and they put some actual comedy to watch. I mean, not many people enjoy watching a rat walk constantly into a wall for long, and even fewer people would watch if the rat was doing it on purpose for attention. Also, if the rat sleeps with your best friend and says it's a mistake, you can kill it and no one would care because it is a rat.

This is all very true, but your friend must truly be a whore to sleep, quite literally, with a rat.

I have not based that story on anything I experienced. I was trying to express what I felt teenagers lip synching to over rated songs was like.

It's a metaphor for you should not be sucking so much guys.

Interstingly, as I read this, I was/am listening to the music that plays over the menu to Firefly. Okay, maybe it isn't interesting.

Also, I've seen Smosh live, I'm afraid to say. They opened up for The Eels when I saw them the one time. I don't know how that pairing was made, though. The Eels are kind of genre-less anti-pop.

What did they do then? Re-enact one of their videos? Stand-up?

Pardon me, apparently I made a mistake. I saw Smoosh. Which were a couple of girls, sisters, about the age of 13 and 15, who did some crappy pop-like stuff. I had no idea of their history, but I figure it might be possible that they made it because of Youtube fame.
