Karate Kid was cool when it was the Karate Kid, and all old and cool. It won't be cool when it is made all new and shiny and with terrible terrible pop culture americanism

I watched Law Abiding Citizen the other day, and I gotta say I wasn't terribly fond of it.

I have yet to watch the special features and commentary, so here's hoping that they salvage it.

I tried to watch the new Karate kid. It was really bad so I turned it off. Could have just been the crappy cam copy that I was watching but I kind of doubt it. I knew that the main character was played by Will Smith's kid. I didn't know that his parents were both producers which is probably the only reason he got the job. Actually it's probably the entire reason the movie was made.

Actually it's because he wanted to learn kung fu, and that's the cheapest way they could think to teach him. To make a movie.

Will Smith has forgotten that money exists outside of making movies.

Maybe someone should tell him. Otherwise as his kid wants to play all manner of sports, we're gonna get so many movies.

I just watched shutter island and I thought it was pretty good. It's obvious they are waiting to spring a twist on you the entire time but you can never be quite sure what it is until they really reveal it.

I loved the ending. If it would've just been a twist for twist's sake, I'd have been a lot less impressed with the movie. But the last few lines, where it seemed that he knew exactly what was going to happen to him, and chose lobotomization (or "remaining crazy") rather than living in his own personal hell (whether he was cured or would regress or whatever doesn't even matter). It really made the whole movie for me.
