Nice South Park reference there, Fenghar.

Re: Favorite Band
It was a great episode. Lots of social commentary going on in that piece while maintaining the ridiculous humor.

Re: Favorite Band
That one might be my favorite. I hated what they did this past election to avoid the politics. It was remarkably stupid. They didn't even kind of have the 'moral of the story' that the good South Parks do. It was just some dumbass plot about stealing the hope diamond. That kind of ridiculous stuff only goes well when paired with an actual message that plays off the funny hyperbole. The '04 episode (I assume it was, because it could only be talking about Kerry and Bush) was the best possible way they could have avoided the choosing sides. It made its point to those that could comprehend it and it still was freakin' hilarious. It's provocative humor worked because they made their point about the election and politics and then threw in the crazy shit that is funny in light of seriousness.

The last one was a bomb-diggidy parody of the oceans movies!

Re: Favorite Band
YES. Tis' all true. The second song (the pretty good one) actually has pretty good lyrics. It's not like it's good, but it's totally not bad.

That band actually used to be my favorites back in the day. But their newer stuff is way better because they stopped being so emo and joined the "tuff" crowd.
But to tell the truth, I have been getting into more poppy punky stuff these days and shying away from the hardcore and the heavy.

I agree with this statement entirely. I also agree with your stance on harsh vocals. Thank for you only being a retard and not a fucktard.LordRetard wrote:I prefer screaming to really bad singers, honestly. Mastodon never screams anymore, they just get Brent Hinds to go "roooh haah aaargh" in his ridiculously silly, high-pitched voice. He reminds me of my German history teacher (history teacher that is German). I really can't listen to them anymore.
Hardcore/Trivium-esque bands are for people too pussy to handle straight-up melodic death metal.
Listen to At The Gates. People have been making piss poor attempts at ripping them off since 1994.
